CRPF Commandant Chetan Cheetah was shot by three terrorists in Kashmir’s Bandopora on February 14th and was considered almost dead when he was taken to the Army Hospital, he had at least 9 bullets in his body.
The 45-year-old brave soldier was airlifted to AIMS trauma center. He was in Coma for 2 months, his battle for life started then. Chetan had Upper limb fractures, he lost his right eye and had bullet injuries in his head and still fought the battle for life and survived.
The state minister Rijiju met him and thanked AIIMS doctors for their extraordinary work “He is doing very fine. It’s miraculous, first of all, I would like to thank the team of doctors from AIIMS. The day I came here when he was brought from Srinagar, it was difficult to imagine that he will talk to me,” said Rijiju.
“We are very proud of him. He is a brave officer and this will boost the morale of all the other jawans. He was smiling and was excited to get back on duty. This shows his ability to survive and his will power,” he added.
Chetan is a brave soldier who fought the battle of life and won it, he was happy about his survival and was excited to join the army again after his recovery.
