With the presence of young players like Rishabh Pant, LK Rahul, and Hardik Pandya, some old players place in the Indian cricket squad has become shaky. With cricket World Cup just 2 years away, the Indian selectors are making subsequent combinations with every passing game to find out the perfect player for every role in the team!

There are 5 major players whose chances of playing the World Cup 2019 have been reduced with the new players around. Here is the list of the legends whom we might not see during the big tournament:

#1 Dinesh Karthik

Even though Karthik was a part of the Champions Trophy 2017, however, he was a bench player. He didn’t get the chance to play even a single game. In spite of being a great domestic cricket player, he has not been given much chance at the international level. It’s highly unlikely we get to see the wicket-keeper batsman in the World Cup 2019!

#2 Kedar Jadhav

Jadhav has been a great player and has always proved his worth in the team. Post-Zimbabwe’s tour, he has not been given many roles in the Indian cricket team. Now, it seems that Team India has found its number 6 batsman in Hardik Pandya.

#3 Suresh Raina

Suresh Raina has not been a part of the Indian squad for a really long time. Since the end of the year 2015, he has been out of the team due to his poor form and fitness. He was not even a part of the Champions Trophy as well as the ongoing West Indies tour.

#4 Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj gave a memorable performance during the World Cup 2011, however, he was not given a spot in the World Cup 2015. Now, thanks to his amazing domestic performance, he was a part of the Champions Trophy 2017. However, by 2019, Yuvi would turn 37 years old. So, he might not be part of the big tournament!

#5 Mahendra Singh Dhoni

Dhoni’s for has been suffering from a long time. Indian team has found a good finisher in Hardik Pandya and Manish Pandey. It would be interesting to watch what role MS Dhoni would fit in for the team!
