Deepika Padukone upcoming next movie Padmavati, we cant wait just!!

Deepika Padukone has already started prepping up for her next schedule of Padmavati and looks like the actress is not too keen on letting anyone know about it. Did you know that Deepika had been to Chittorgarh a couple of months back to research for her role? We bet you didn’t and we didn’t know that either! However, an insider revealed to Hindustan Times saying, “Yes, Deepika had made the trip but she had planned this visit in an extremely hush hush manner so that no one gets to know about it.” The Bajirao Mastani actress travelled to Rajasthan sans her team and walked around the streets and a lot of historical places to ensure that she got some valuable insights about the history of Chittorgarh. “Deepika has been doing all of it as she is fully committed to her part as Rani Padmini in her next film, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The actor’s take – away from the visit has been her first – hand experiences that she had while being there,” says the insider.

When Deepika was asked to comment on her secret visit to Chittorgarh, she simply ignored it and said, “I shot for Padmavati in November and December. There was something extremely magical about it and I hope that the magic continues when I start shooting for the film again.”

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmavati has been the talk of the town ever since the film was announced. Initially, there were differences among the lead actors, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor which made us wonder if the film would ever go on floors. However, that problem was solved following which the sets of the film were burnt in Jaipur earlier this year and then in Kolhapur a couple of months back. The members of the Karni Sena were responsible for vandalisation as they thought Bhansali was distorting historical facts by shooting a dream love sequence between Alaudin Khilji and Rani Padmini. Later, the filmmaker issued an official statement clarifying that there is no such sequence in Padmavati. Let’s hope there is no more trouble for Mr Bhansali here onwards.
