A few years back a new photography was invented – Selfie. Some are obsessed with it, sometimes leading to fatal deaths. But a selfie sent the women in India tipsy all over again? Yes that what happened with this selfie. Selfie of Madhavan after a shower with an innocent note that said that he felt fresh after a good night sleep and a light shower. This was posted on Instagram and in a day there were more than a lakh likes and was shared and discussed on Facebook and Twitter. For two days people were hooked on to this photo and all were discussing only this. Madhavan known as the ‘chocolate boy’ was always a heart throb of women. That smile which reached his eyes would stop women in their tracks. To his surprise he realized that his magic had not waned a bit. This overwhelming response has not only made him very happy but also a little embarrassed. “I am embarrassed and thankful at the same time,” Madhavan told PTI. He was quick to add that he was a normal guy and that he did not look like that all the time. But who is listening? Maddy can look anything and his women fan following will never take a backseat.
After a gap of four years vey hesitantly Madhavan faced the camera for the Tamil movie “Irudhi Suttru”. It was not a chocolate boy image from his first innings but a rugged look of an angry middle-aged man. Maddy did not have to be apprehensive as he was lovingly welcomed by the Tamil audience. He said he was inspired by Aamir Khan to get back to cinema after a break. His new film slotted for release on July 7th 2017, Vikram Vedha is cop-gangster movie and Vijay Sethupathy is his co-star. Apart from this he had worked on a web series for Amazon Prime Video which is being dubbed in Tamil also. He informed that these web-series were as big as the big budget films. Madhavan has understood the power of internet and has caught the bus early. He is making the right moves and maybe it won’t be long before Bollywood beckons him again.
