Mumbai: Following the reports received by the Indian Coast Guard of three Islamic State (IS) terrorists trying to enter the Mumbai city via the sea route, the city has been put on high alert by the the Mumbai Police and other security agencies.

As per the reports the intelligence data provided via fax to the Mumbai Police and other security officials by the Coast Guard via fax are as of now being examined.

A senior Mumbai Police official was cited as saying, “The data received by us was sent by the Coast Guard via fax. All the essential precautions are being taken by us and moreover we are trying our level best in utilizing the input provided to us for getting all the necessary details about the suspects.”

Presently, all the security agencies are busy in cross checking the intelligence inputs and working to forbid an ISIS attack on Mumbai, said reports.

As of now all the lodges and low-end hotels where identity proof of customers are not asked by the owners are being checked thoroughly, said reports.
